- Patient Care and Support:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
- Helping patients with mobility and positioning, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Vital Sign Monitoring:
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Observing and reporting patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Assistance in Procedures:
- Assisting nurses or healthcare professionals in various medical procedures and treatments.
- Handling and maintaining medical equipment as required.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.
- Following established care plans and protocols in providing patient care.
- Possession of a New Jersey Certification as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) is mandatory.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by the New Jersey Department of Health, Office of Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, Corporate Compliance, PEOSHA, and Priority Group Services Policies and Procedures.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use healthcare software.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably as a CNA or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Additional certifications or training related to patient care.
