Experienced Power Sports Technician/Mechanic

JMC MotorSports, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Power Sports Technician/Mechanic that would support our current team of technicians. The technician/mechanic will bring additional knowledge to serve our customers and will help grow our market share.
Under limited supervision, the Power Sports Technician/Mechanic performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of motorcycles, and other assigned vehicles; performs related work as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, mechanical service to customers
Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs street/off road motorcycle, off-road vehicle, snowmobile, and watercraft
Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of motorcycles/vehicles and equipment
Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known
Road-test motor bikes/vehicles
Prepares and maintains records and reports
Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible
Cooperative behavior with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management in a team environment
Minimize come-backs and deal with them promptly and satisfactorily when they do occur
All other duties as assigned
Requirements, Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years street motorcycle mechanic work experience
Repairing or replacing malfunctioning or worn mechanical components
Dismantling engines and repair or replace defective parts
Disassembling subassembly units and examine condition, movement, or alignment of parts, visually or using gauges
Repairing or adjusting motorcycle subassemblies, such as transmissions, brakes, or drive chains, according to specifications.
Repairing or replacement other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline or oil tanks, starters, or mufflers.
Repairing defective parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or power tools
Removal of cylinder heads and grind valves to scrape off carbon and replace defective valves, pistons, cylinders, or rings, using hand and power tools.
Must be organized with good time management skills
Qualifications:

Within the last 10 years, five years of experience and/or training in motorcycles/vehicles and equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
Maintain technical qualification by completing any necessary training programs
Physical/Other Requirements:
Must have a flexible schedule; morning, evening and weekends
Must have a motorcycle license with a good driving record
Must have own tools
English literacy required
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug testing
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department
The noise level in the work environment can be loud
This position is very active and requires:
Frequent lifting and/or moving objects over fifty pounds
Frequently requires the ability to balance and push a motorcycle
Frequently requires standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and other physical movements requiring full range of motion
