Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team. This entry-level role involves packaging materials, moving them from one location to another to support operators, and handling various chemicals with the utmost attention to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package materials efficiently and safely.
• Transport materials within the plant to support operational needs.
• Handle a wide range of chemicals, from basic to PPE-required chemicals (over 250 chemicals in the plant).
• Operate in an outdoor setting, in a role that requires constant activity and movement.
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of chemical handling and material movement.
• Confidently drive a forklift.
• Utilize drumming systems (training will be provided if needed).

Requirements:

• Familiarity with plant operations and material handling in a plant setting.
• Basic knowledge of chemicals and confidence in moving them.
• Strong safety orientation and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience driving a forklift.
• Drumming system experience is a plus but not required.

Schedule/Shift:

• Initial training will be conducted during a 40-hour workweek, during day shifts.
• After training, the schedule will be as follows:
• One person will work 10-hour days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off (unless overtime is required, which will be infrequent).
• The other person will work 10-hour nights: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
• Every other week, day and night shifts will switch:
• Day shift: Starting around 7 am (subject to change).
• Night shift: Starting around 7 pm.
