We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Information Security Analyst to join our team.

This is a virtual position. A virtual position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. As a virtual employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client working, team meetings or training.

YOUR TEAM.

The Information Security Analyst position is assigned to the Security Operations unit. Under the guidance of the Information Security Manager, the IT Security Analyst will be responsible for the security monitoring activities. The primary purpose of this position is to help coordinate and report on cyber incidents impacting the CohnReznick environment. This position involves critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations. A successful Security Analyst will be able to review, monitor, and analyse incoming alerts, potential threats, as well as support the incident response and management protocols.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the ongoing and near real-time proactive monitoring, analyzing, investigating, escalating, tracking, and remediating IT security events across the enterprise in an overall effort to minimize the potential for a breach of security or loss of data.
  • Monitor IT security events on a daily basis for suspected malicious activities (servers, security applications and devices, firewalls, antivirus, MDM, IDS/IPS, etc.); investigate, validate and help mitigate IT security alerts based on their risk and priority.
  • Support day-to-day operations and work closely with other IT teams to mitigate IT security related issues as required.
  • Assist with privacy strategy and tactics, including execution of a Data Loss Prevention program; foster collaboration with departments across the firm on privacy and data protection matters, ensuring that adequate procedures are in place to comply with new and existing privacy laws, regulations, and firm policies.
  • Assist in performing critical incident response activities and ensuring that proper protection or corrective measures have been implemented when an incident/vulnerability has been discovered.
  • Perform vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses and potential IT security threats and/or violations.
  • Respond to activities deemed to be improper or in violation of security policies or other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of current trends, technologies, regulations, threats, etc.; provide technical support to network, support, and other IT and operational teams.
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

Technical Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent related degree or work experience.
  • Professional certification (Security , CISM, etc.) desired but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive relevant work experience.
  • Requires strong knowledge of O365 security tools and platform.
  • Knowledge of or experience with industry compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, ISO, ITIL, SOC1/2, etc., a plus.
  • Working knowledge of audit methodologies and security assessment tools a plus.

  • Be flexible with scheduled hours working extended hours when needed.
