Transports patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :
1. High School graduate or equivalent
2. CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :
1. Successful completion of a patient care aide- training program or equivalent.

1. Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department.
2. Utilizes RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.
3. Demonstrates basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
4. Demonstrates proficiency with regards to stretchers / carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and personal protective equipment.
5. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and provide a safe environment for infants, pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

2. Visual acuity must be within normal ranges.
3. Must be able to position, lift, move patients of all weights with varying amounts of assistance in a fair manner on a regular and recurring basis.
