Job Description: As a Principal Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping technical strategies for large-scale products or infrastructure projects while leading teams of engineers. Your responsibilities will be more extensive and have a more significant impact on technical decisions compared to those of a Senior Staff Engineer. Along with the CTO and Engineering Directors, you will be responsible for driving visionary technical excellence. You will lead and mentor large teams of Software Engineers, oversee highly complex systems and be responsible for designing and implementing the architecture for large-scale systems. Additionally, you will be involved in recruiting and attracting new talent, and establishing processes and networks to identify and recruit top talent. You will also work to build a reputation for technical excellence both internally and externally, and across teams and products, to establish standards. Skills required - working experience in software engineering in complex, service-oriented software development and be well versed in one or more programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, Python - Experience delivering technical projects in an Agile environment - Showcase Pattern's leadership Principles and fulfil technical depth and complexity requirements - Effective communication, communicating technical decisions and driving engineering excellence - They should be well versed with heterogeneous systems, hardware and software required in cloud-scale infrastructure.
