Description
The purpose of the Physical Therapy Tech is they are responsible for assisting therapist in performing patient treatments, as allowed within the Scope of the Tennessee Physical Therapy Practice Act. These treatments are all under the direct supervision of a therapist, responsible for clinical tasks and non-clinical tasks as scheduled and assigned by therapist/supervisor. Incumbents are subject to overtime
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING: High School Diploma Required; ability to read, write, perform simple mathematical calculations, understand basic biology and anatomy; follow written procedures as normally acquired through 2-3 months of orientation and on-the-job training. BLS required and will be obtained within probation period.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Assists physical therapists by preparing and cleaning treatment areas and equipment. Aids patients in moving to therapy rooms. Performs clerical work and completes routine paperwork and tasks assigned by therapists.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION: The employee must obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification within probation period.
