Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting and receptionist duties, possess knowledge of dental software such as Epic and Eaglesoft, and be proficient in tasks like taking vital signs, X-Rays, and maintaining infection control protocols.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and prepare equipment and instruments
- Take X-rays and perform lab tasks under the direction of a dentist
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Maintain proper patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform various office tasks as needed to support the dental team
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Epic and Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and X-Rays
- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient data privacy
