Job DescriptionThe Senior Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding digital assets and infrastructure against cyber threats. Leveraging their advanced expertise in cybersecurity practices and technologies, they are responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and mitigating potential security risks.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Threat Detection and Analysis: Utilizing advanced tools and techniques to detect, analyze, and investigate security incidents, including malware, intrusions, and suspicious activities across the network and systems.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitoring security systems, logs, and alerts to identify potential security breaches or anomalies. Leading incident response efforts to contain, mitigate, and recover from security incidents effectively and efficiently.
  • Threat Intelligence and Research: Staying abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and trends through continuous monitoring of threat intelligence sources. Analyzing threat data to anticipate and proactively defend against potential cyber attacks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to address security concerns and align cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives. Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the organization's cybersecurity posture and risk profile.
  • Requirements:
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required to apply.
  • Must be willing to obtain CI polygraph prior to start.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II AND CNDSP Incident Responder certifications required.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in cybersecurity operations, including threat detection and incident response.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, encryption, and identity/access management.
  • Splunk experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements and industry standards (e.g., NIST).
  • Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
  • This position is supporting a 24x7x365 security operations center (SOC). We have 3 shifts available M-F: 0600-1430, 1400-2230, or 2200-0630.
  • This is not a rotating schedule; schedules are fixed.
