General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, sub-components, material, and end items to ensure compliance with customer requirements, specifications, drawings and the quality system.
Inspects new and reworked aircraft, ground control stations, and ground data terminals for conformance to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Maintains, processes, and compiles a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records and statistics.
Assignments are typically non-routine where judgment and assessment are required to resolve moderately complex issues. May conduct inspections at customer or vendor sites.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Inspects aircraft, ground control stations (GCS), ground data terminals (GDT), machined parts, components, sub-components, assemblies and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI, and ASME Code).
Provides various electronic and hard copy reports of inspections and notifies appropriate parties.
T.O. 00-20-1; DCMAI 8210.1). May interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during their audits and review of company inspection, integration, modification, and test activities.
