Responsibilities:
- Rent collections
- CAM computations & reconciliations
- Paying bills
- Invoicing tenants
- Insurance management
- Real estate tax reconciliation
- Manage tenant certificate of insurance compliance
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Assist with budget preparation
- Collect all mail and respond to actionable items
- Input bills and manage payables in accounting software
- Compute and make depreciation/amortization entries
- Prepare and enter monthly GL entries as needed
- Prepare internal monthly financial statements and reporting packages
- Coordinate with outside CPA for year-end financials and taxes
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Previous experience handling accounting in a real estate environment
- Familiarity with accounting software Yardi Voyager
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Ability to build rapport with tenants
- Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated and ability to self-direct
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
