- Maintains a purchasing strategy.
- Reviews and processes purchase orders.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
- Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
- Order Materials, as needed, while communicating with the Manager of the materials needed.
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
- Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts with Management.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
- Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
- Develop and maintain - Min/Max quantities of materials.
- Drive to reduce inventory levels without interruption of Production.
- Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
- Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
- Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
- Keeps up with trends in procurement.
- Travels to vendor locations if required.
- Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
- A college degree is not needed but preferred.
- Must have at least 5 years experience in Purchasing.
- Must have a Florida Driver's License.
- Wages will be based on experience.
- Must be able to commute to our Palm City location.
- Knowledge of Quickbooks is a plus.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Standing, bending, and reaching during a 10-hour shift.
