Manufacturing Manager
- A local plastics manufacturer that recently expanded operations is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for their facility in Palatine, IL
- The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including managing, planning, directing, and coordinating work activities and resources for extrusion manufacturing, maintenance, and quality control
- With 38 years of business experience and plans for further growth, the company is looking for a talented manager to oversee the printing department
- As an employee-centric organization, they value continuous improvement and offer opportunities for upward mobility

Responsibilities :
- Directly manage and supervise a team of 70 employees across multiple departments
- Lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and similar principles
- Establish an engaged and motivated team culture and set the strategic direction
- Monitor and maintain production standards for efficiency, material waste, and quality control
- Ensure employee productivity, facility safety, and maintenance activities by collaborating with other managers and supervisors
Requirements :
- BA / BS / AAS degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience
- 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (open to different industries)
- Preferably Six-Sigma Green / Black / Lean training or certifications, with experience in change management
- Analytical skills and ability to use data to coach, teach, and develop employees
- Must be capable of problem-solving, multitasking, and working in a fast-paced environment
