Job Overview:
Join our client’s team as a Maintenance Technician in the steel industry, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of their steel manufacturing equipment and facility. Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct repairs on various systems including HVAC, plumbing, and production equipment such as stamping, forming and assembly machines.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments for accurate assessments
- Fabricate and weld components as needed
- Stick welding for repairs and fabrication
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders
- Analyze equipment performance to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and repair machinery
- Proficiency in stick welding techniques
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate assessments
- Ability to fabricate and weld components as necessary
- Experience using CMMS for maintenance tracking
- Analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively
