LHH is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Portland, OR

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Medical Receptionist on a contract to hire basis for a client in Portland, OR. Our client is seeking a Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service to maintain a high level of patient satisfaction.This is an onsite position and candidate needs to live in or near Portland, OR!Responsibilites:
  • Welcome patients and guests warmly and promptly, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. Handle routine inquiries with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Manage incoming calls with a friendly demeanor, directing them appropriately and documenting important information in electronic medical records.
  • Accurately schedule provider appointments according to established protocols, informing patients of necessary preparations and ensuring all required documentation is in order.
  • Efficiently register patients, verifying insurance details, capturing necessary data, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of paperwork.
  • Secure prior authorizations for referrals when necessary, maintaining meticulous records of authorization status.
  • Collect patient payments accurately, including co-insurance, copays, and self-pay fees, and manage related administrative tasks like daily batching and deposits.
  • Facilitate smooth patient interactions, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and directing them to the appropriate channels. Maintain orderly patient flow during check-in and check-out processes.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and procedures, log no-shows, and assist with document scanning as needed.
  • Keep the lobby area organized and tidy throughout the day, handling opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Assist in managing incoming faxes and documents, ensuring they are routed correctly.
  • Maintain medical records accurately and confidentially.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualitifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 2 years of medical office experience.
  • Experience with patient services
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
Compensation: $19- $21, DOE
Job Type: Contract to hire
Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
