Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic Hydroponic Gardening Educators to lead our after school enrichment programs. Educators will engage students in hands-on learning, guiding them through hydroponic gardening activities while integrating interdisciplinary topics such as biology, environmental science, and nutrition.

Duties:

• Lead 60-minute hydroponic gardening workshops for students K-8.
• Lead 2 workshops per day, Monday - Friday
• Manage classroom materials, including hydroponic towers, plants, seeds, and activity supplies.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Track student progress and provide feedback.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong educational background with experience in childhood development.
• Previous experience working with children, particularly in educational settings or camps.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passionate about gardening, education, and sustainability.
• High school GED required; currently enrolled in college or a college graduate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Oxnard, CA (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
