Salary: $70,000 - 100,000/year
 

Position Summary: The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and drawings for machinery and equipment using AutoCAD. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other team members to develop efficient and reliable electrical systems that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings for machinery using AutoCAD.
  • Design electrical control systems, including panels, wiring, and components.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), specifications, and installation instructions.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
  • Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications based on feedback and testing results.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical design issues during the manufacturing and installation phases.
  • Maintain and update electrical design records and documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other electrical design software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, control systems, and components.
  • Experience with designing electrical panels, wiring systems, and schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
