Job Summary:
What we want

We are looking for a team-oriented and multi-tasking Shipping Supervisor that provides effective leadership to their shipping team members and is a bridge to facilitate the secure transfer of our custom-built products from manufacturing to our local delivery routes and LTL shipments.

An excellent candidate must be a positive and clear communicator. This person should also be a good listener, encourager, and have a tenacious attention to detail. They will exemplify the character traits of a supportive coach and a role model.

What you will do

· Oversee the shipping functions including:

- Creating packing slips and bills of lading for freight

- Assisting shipping employees to ensure smooth operations

- Receiving RMA’s and templates.

· Assign freight to carriers based on cost, delivery time, and delivery coverage.

· Maintain good relationships with freight lines and customers

· Be on call for Tara truck drivers

· Manage Tara truck delivery routes

· Maintain the Tara truck maintenance schedule

· File freight damage claims

· Maintain our platform quoting system

· Analyze and negotiate freight rates annually

· Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table

· 1-2 years of shipping experience

· High school diploma or G.E.D.

· Valid forklift license

· Multi-task and handle numerical tasks efficiently

· Strong math and problem-solving skills

· Excellent people skills

· Desire to continuously improve operations

What makes you more attractive

· 2 or 4-year degree

· 4 years in a manufacturing environment

· Familiarity with NetSuite

Working Conditions

· Walking, lifting, pulling, and working in semi-temperature controlled environment

· Operating a forklift to move product and load / unload trucks
