Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join a reputable company in Owatonna and focus on purchasing for their facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes by managing procurement activities, liaising with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process for all facility needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies.
• Utilize AS400/IBMi systems for order processing and inventory management.
• Coordinate with various departments to understand and meet their purchasing requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
• Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement in the purchasing process and implementing solutions.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with AS400/IBMi systems.

• Exceptional follow-through to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams.
• Computer Skills such as Data Entry and using Microsoft Office
