Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our private practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Our office is focused on providing high quality individualized care. We are a one doctor, woman owned, fee for service practice with the majority of our patients having been with us 5 years. We see all ages including pediatric patients. The ideal candidate would be self motivated, willing to learn new procedures, a quick learner and a team player! We would prefer someone who has at least 2 years experience and has X-ray, coronal polishing and nitrous oxide certifications. Phlebotomy would be big plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of Intraoral scanning (ie Itero) and 3D printing would also be helpful.

HOURS: Monday-Thursday 7:30a-5p

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms for various procedures
- Taking X-Rays

-Maintaining sterilization.
- Manage inventory
- Perform basic dental assisting procedures, such as taking impressions, radiographs, intraoral photos, intraoral scans, etc.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

-Knowledge of dentures both record taking and adjusting
- Perform various lab duties.

Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately
- Strong dental assisting skills, including chairside assisting techniques and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental documentation software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix) for maintaining electronic health records
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
