Oversees clinical staff and operations. Provides therapeutic and mental health services.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Acts as a member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team providing 24 hour-a-day therapeutic and mental health services in shelter or residential programs.

Participates in the selection of contracted therapists, including psychiatrists, to assist in the implementation of the treatment program.

Assists with the development of youth individual treatment plans, monitoring and review of updated treatment plans, progress reports of youth in the program, monitoring of established treatment procedures, developing of new procedures for counseling, treatment planning, and other program components.

Hires, manages, and evaluates staff.

Prepares and submits reports and recommendations concerning youth and family progress.

Provides ongoing specialized training for treatment staff and attends regular core organizational training programs.

Provides consultation, crisis intervention, and clinical assessments; provides ongoing assessment and evaluation services.

Provides consultation services regarding youth to treatment staff and provides approved clinical supervision.

Collects treatment data and information, and provides interpretation, analysis, and summary to treatment staff; updates and monitors diagnostic information reflective of youth progress.

Assists in monitoring and updating treatment procedures and intervention strategies; helps coordinate clinic rounds and participates in other clinical staffing to evaluate and enhance youth treatment.

Conducts psychological testing as requested to meet and clarify youth treatment needs and completes functional assessment ratings (CFARS per contract) on a regular basis to monitor youth progress.

Provides administrative support to shelter and residential programs.

Participates in developing individual treatment plans (BRC's), monitoring and updating progress reports, and monitoring or developing treatment procedures for counseling, treatment planning, and other program components.

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with necessary support services for providing youth and families with therapeutic services.

Attends and contributes to management team meetings, other staff meetings, and contract-related meetings; communicates about the special qualities of Boys Town to outside consumers.

Provides face-to-face interviews with youth at program entry, clinical supervision and oversight, and individual and family counseling.

Assists in monitoring clinical contract components to ensure compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of consultation, training, evaluation, and administration; knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care.

Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.

Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations.

Ability to successfully lead a team of associates.

Strong knowledge of the Boys Town Model.

Ability to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience required.

Licensed and certified mental health practitioner required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Supervisory experience preferred.
