The Director of Nursing will provide nursing management, set resident care standards for all direct care providers and provide complete supervision and management for the nursing department.

What will I do in this role?

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

• Maintains a positive attitude and positivity within the nursing department as well as interdisciplinary approach
• Notifies DOH and updates HERD per regulations
• Maintains line listing and works collaboratively with DON regarding infection patterns
• Knowledgeable of Policies and Procedures of the home
• Communicates with Senior Nurses (Supervisors & RCC) regarding Infection Control
• Attends QUAPI meetings
• Knowledgeable of Nursing Budget
• Assists on the units when necessary - Works as a Team Leader or Supervisor as needed
• Interacts with residents, families, co-workers, managers and other departmental staff in a kind, knowledgeable and friendly manner.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited RN Program
• Current Registered Nurse in the State of New York
• Current BCLS Certification
• Must have previous Nurse Management, ADON, or DON experience
