Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans according to physician orders
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Operate and maintain CT equipment
- Review and evaluate CT images for quality and accuracy
- Assist radiologists in performing CT-guided procedures
- Provide education and instructions to patients regarding CT procedures
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Monitor and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Participate in quality improvement and assurance activities
- Stay updated with advancements in CT scanning technology and techniques
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members
- Provide support during emergency and high-stress situations
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT certification in CT scanning
- State licensure as a CT Technologist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Tech
- Strong knowledge of CT scanning procedures and equipment
- Proficiency in PACS and EMR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Understanding of radiation safety and protection measures
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Continuing education in CT technology and medical imaging
- Current CPR certification
