Home Instead - Miller Home Health Agency, Inc. is Hiring a Caregiver Near ORANGE PARK, FL

Home Instead Level 1 CAREGivers provide essential non-medical services to seniors, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life within their homes. CAREGivers play a crucial role in assisting clients and their families in navigating the challenges of aging with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reflect the core values of Miller Home Health Agency, Inc., (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise).
  • Foster a positive living environment to enhance the client’s quality of life.
  • Document daily activities and promptly report any significant changes in the client’s needs or living conditions.
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff.
  • Provide Companionship & Home Helper services, including:
  • Engaging in companionship and meaningful conversation.
  • Offering stabilization and assistance with walking.
  • Meal preparation and cleanup.
  • Medication and appointment reminders.
  • Light housekeeping tasks.
  • Laundry and ironing.
  • Running errands and accompanying clients to appointments.
  • Provide Personal Care services, including:
  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Addressing incontinence issues sensitively and respectfully.
  • Provide Specialized services, such as:
  • Advanced Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care.
  • Hospice Care.
  • Couples Care.
  • Overnight Care.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in company-sponsored training and social events, including CAREGiver meetings.
  • Accurately report hours according to office policy and communicate availability changes promptly.
  • Contribute feedback through Listen360 Satisfaction Survey.
  • Document client information in Client and Life Journal.
  • May involve running errands and providing incidental transportation for clients using your vehicle or theirs.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license or state identification.
  • Maintain valid auto insurance (if applicable).
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, mold, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
  • Treat clients and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Adaptability to various living environments and locations.
  • Effective communication skills with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
