Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Underwriter to join our team. As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating merchant applications to determine their creditworthiness and risk level. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and professional development within the merchant service industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review merchant applications and financial documents to assess credit risk and determine eligibility for merchant services.
• Analyze financial statements, bank statements, and other relevant documents to evaluate the financial stability and performance of merchants.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and make recommendations based on established underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Communicate with sales agents to gather additional information and clarify discrepancies as needed.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to underwriting decisions and merchant profiles.
• Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in underwriting, financial analysis, or risk management is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound judgments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with merchants and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
