**Job Summary**

The Lead Estimator will be a key leader in the Corporation’s business development effort reporting directly to the VP of Operations. We are looking for a self-starting professional with a proven track record of success securing business in Earthwork and other Pre-construction projects. This person will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other stake holders such as subcontractors, engineers, field personnel, and clients. Attention to detail is paramount with strong computer and math skills to support accuracy.

**Responsibilities**

- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates

- Participate and advise on RFI and RFQ with clients

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project scope and requirements

-Supervise bid activities to include Take Off process and personnel.

- Develop comprehensive proposals outlining project costs, timelines, and materials needed

- Conduct thorough research on materials, labor, and equipment costs to ensure competitive pricing

- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to estimates as necessary

- Participate in contract negotiations with clients and suppliers to secure favorable terms

**Skills and experience**

· Strong analytic abilities.
· Working Knowledge of Excel spread sheets and word processing programs.
· Understanding of construction documents.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Ability to coordinate and work independently.
· Knowledge of CAD software.
· Knowledge of Insite Elevation Pro or Agtek Grade Work Software.
· Knowledge of B2W software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
