Description

We are looking for a motivated team player to join the Collegedale Credit Union Family!

Roles and Responsibilities

· Provide a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers’ checks, money orders and cash advances

· Perform a broad variety of member services functions such as opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates and assisting members with bookkeeping and checking account problems

· Answer members’ questions regarding Credit Union services provided and perform a variety of account maintenance duties

· Actively cross-sell Credit Union services based on the needs of our members

· Provide support to all positions with the Member Relations Department during staff absences, vacations, and high work volume periods

· Investigate questionable data and recommend action to resolve discrepancies

· Perform specific assigned side-jobs and assist other Tellers or MSRs with a variety of duties, as required

· Excellent service is given to all members

· Excellent phone skills

· Teller/MSR functions are efficiently, effectively and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards and security procedures

· Good business relations exist with members. Members’ problems or questions are courteously and promptly resolved

· Good working relationships and coordination exist with area personnel and with management. Assistance is provided to other staff, as needed. Supervisors are appropriately informed of area activities

· Strong ability to work independently

· Ability to remain calm in a busy environment

· The Credit Union’s professional reputation is maintained and conveyed

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs

Requirements

Education

High School graduate or equivalent

Essential Skills

1. Willingness to learn, take direction and adapt to changes in the work environment

2. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

3. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and have a high degree of detail management

4. Consistently display a strong work ethic

5. 3-5 years of credit union or banking history

6. Spanish

7. Have experience in opening both personal and business accounts.

8. Experience in setting members up with Online Banking

9. Bank Teller or Credit Union Cash Handling Experience

10. Wire (domestic and international) experience

11. Debit Card/ Debit Card Fraud experience

12. IRA/CD experience

13. Notary Preferred (or willingness to obtain)

14. Experience with ATM maintenance

15. Reg CC Experience

16. Schedule flexibility

17. Ability to multitask.

18. Stellar phone skills

Preferred Skills

1. Strong critical thinking skills

2. Possess a degree of competency in Microsoft Suite

3. Beginning Spanish fluency, a plus

4. A minimum of 6 months customer service or banking experience

5. Experience with a 12-digit adding machine

Benefits

· 40 hours vacation and sick time

· Paid holidays

· Four hours of paid time off for birthdays

· Eight hours of volunteer time off

· $13.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
