Job Overview:
We are seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Assistant to join our team. As a Safety, Health, and Environment Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for prevention
- Collaborate with department managers to develop safety training programs
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure proper labeling of hazardous materials
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills as necessary
- Monitor environmental conditions to identify potential risks or areas for improvement
- Assist in the coordination of environmental services such as waste management and recycling programs
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Provide support in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred (e.g. hospital, commercial cleaning, custodial)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for workplace safety
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.42 - $32.71 per hour
