Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Rockbrook United Methodist Church. RUMC is an affirming and reconciling church where we welcome and accept all people. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for both staff and visitors.

Duties:
- Perform general custodial duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, parlor, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is necessary
- Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings or events
- Follow established safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department

-Monitoring of doors on Sunday morning from 7:30-1pm.

Skills:
- Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
