Job Overview:
Provide Financial and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data, metrics and standard or ad hoc reporting to support the needs of the organization. Additional responsibility for standard general ledger activity, expense analysis and billing reporting. This role ensures that reimbursement contracts and rates are correct, ensuring Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network is reimbursed correctly for services rendered.
Duties:
· Assist with month end closes for various companies within the network.
· Perform bank reconciliations for multiple companies, making sure cash is posted by billing department by third business day of the month.
· Follow up with billing department to make sure monthly statements go out timely, communicate to Director of Finance on any delays or challenges.
· Provides support to management by sending out monthly departmental financial reports and answering questions regarding financial reporting and other issues.
· Participate in monthly A/R meetings with Management team and Community. Track action items from the meetings and follow up. Perform write-offs approved by management team.
· Review aging report, ensure staff is sending collection letters within PCC and making collection calls to achieve cash management goals.
· Maintain a current billing matrix/summary of all contracted insurance companies including relevant information for clinical, admissions and billing staff.
· Participate in budget preparation, budget review process, and enter approved budgets into accounting system before start of new fiscal year.
· Participate in Contracting Committee calls with the Ohio Aging Services Network and report on activity to CFO and applicable staff. Participate on other committees as assigned.
· Work with leadership to define and manage daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to ensure team is performing at expected level throughout the month.
· Prepare reporting to identify problem areas to work on and to ensure that the team is on track to reach goals. Examples of reporting would include denial reporting, collection notes reports, aging reports, credit and “at risk” claims report, and a weekly dashboard report.
· Consults with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies, and procedures.
· Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
· Adapt to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, be receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and flexible in conducting assignments.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, general accounting or other related experience is desirable. Internships will count toward this experience.
· Experience within the medical industry would be a plus.
· Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, experienced user in excel. communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
· Is analytical, accurate, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
· Thrives working both independently and as part of a team.
· Demonstrates critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, integrity, compassion, and ability to effectively deal with all types of people.
