Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design & Implementation:
  • Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions to support the transition from legacy data centers to cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints for both on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategies with business goals.
• Cloud Transition & Management:
  • Oversee the migration of workloads to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Manage and optimize VMware ESXi environments.
  • Implement and manage cloud resources using AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager.
• Automation & Scripting:
  • Develop automation scripts using JavaScript, Python, and Bash to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Data Center Operations:
  • Manage legacy data center infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oversee backup and recovery solutions using tools like NetBackup and Cohesity.
  • Implement and manage monitoring solutions using SolarWinds and AWS CloudWatch.
• Compliance & Security:
  • Ensure infrastructure complies with relevant regulations and standards, including authorization to operate (ATO) requirements.
  • Utilize security tools such as ACAS Tenable for vulnerability management and compliance tracking.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Use application delivery tools like Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes.

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Management or similar field
• 5 years' experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst or similar role
• Must possess an Interim or Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
• Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of backup applications (NetBackup, Cohesity) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, AWS CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with application delivery and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with compliance and security tools (BMC Discovery, ACAS Tenable).
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure engineers, application developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

• Preferred certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
