Paul Reed Construction is Hiring an Equipment Operator Near Ogallala, NE

Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment to support construction projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay. The majority of work will be I-80 interstate projects in central and western Nebraska.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain equipment such as skids, loaders, excavators, and scrapers
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery to complete assigned tasks
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues

Requirements:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not mandatory
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 100 per week
