GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTS MANAGER:
The parts manager’s primary responsibility is to maintain an accurate inventory and protect the investment of the dealership. This is accomplished by:
Maximize dealership gross profit opportunities and manage expenses to reach profit objectives. That includes having the appropriate stocking level for service and developing wholesale business.
Additionally, it is of primary importance to establish and provide an excellent, positive work environment for all associates. Maintaining a full staff of motivated, trained and appropriately compensated associates is a fundamental component of success.
Have a complete understanding of company policy and procedures and the associate handbook. Be able to satisfy and comply with all policy requirements to protect the company’s interest. Set the standard for work ethic and integrity within the parts department.
Ensure that there is no inventory obsolescence, and that the following objectives are achieved:
