Job Summary The Planning Analyst provides planning and financial data analysis while supporting supply chain, finance, sales, and operations functions. The Planning Analyst will be responsible for gathering data, compiling reports and analyses to promote profitability, identify synergies, and determine where variances exist to optimize cost savings opportunities Job Responsibilities Analyze weekly and monthly business results, identifying root cause of variances and communicate the variances to appropriate personnel while ensuring data accuracy and integrity Collect, compile, and perform ongoing analyses to identify synergies and cost savings opportunities where at all possible Assist in putting together Demand Forecast with actual sales for review by Sales each month. Manage department planning and financial data analyses, scorecards, and KPIs Prepare, compile, and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting Compile weekly Supply Chain report and distribute Provide support and assist in the development of departmental financial reporting Ensure the accuracy of data and analyses of internal and external metrics to be presented to the Planning leadership team Perform all other relevant ad hoc duties and project work as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner Exceptional computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel) Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, using detailed written reports and narratives, with internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner Ability to analyze qualitative data and interpret written materials to draw logical conclusions to make informed recommendations to Planners and leaders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational skills and precise attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and efficiently resolve issues Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring confidential information is relayed only on a need-to-know basis Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency Education High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited institution strongly preferred Experience The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience during which knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment. Duties include a typical office setting including extensive computer work, sitting or standing. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Frequently sit for long periods of time utilizing office equipment and/or computers.
