Makison Inc. is seeking an organized, self-motivated Junior Architectural Designer to join our growing company. Our team specializes in the wide range of construction services. The start of designing, planning, permitting, engineering, construction, and project management for commercial and residential projects. From concept to completion, Makison Inc. provides the full spectrum of expertise necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

· Assist project managers ensuring project deadlines are met

· Perform tasks assigned by project managers in a timely and efficient manner

· Determine the client’s goals and requirements for the project

· Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space

· Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts

· Assist in research and selection of materials, creating concept and interior presentations and production of material boards

· Produce floor plans, elevations, sections and rendering

· Familiar with Building Codes

· Assist customer and vendor communication on an as-needed basis

· Coordinate and follow up with design professionals on various projects

· Other duties that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned

Qualifications

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

· Read and understand plans and specifications

· Skilled in AutoCad, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, 3ds Max, Adobe CS and/or any rendering software

· Experienced designing commercial & residential interior design projects
