Forklift Operator

Duties:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and shelves
- Perform order picking and ensure accuracy of shipments
- Use pallet jacks and lift trucks to transport materials within the warehouse
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:
- Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on forklifts
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management
- Familiarity with order picking processes and procedures
- Proficient in operating hi-lo or other types of forklifts
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required

This position will start primarily in our Albia location. There will be time where you will be requested to help at our Ottumwa location. This position will essentially "float" where help is needed the most.
