Daifuku Automotive America is Hiring a Tax Accountant II Near Novi, MI
The company is currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant II.
Primary PurposeSales tax, personal property tax, business licenses, 1099s, quarterly tax provision. This position reports to the Tax Sr. Manager.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Other projects as assigned
- Prepare files for quarterly tax provsion
- Prepare files necessary for sales tax return preparation (by third party) and reconciliation
- Prepare and file local business license taxes
- Maintain compliance calendar
- Audit support as needed
- Computer Programs— Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- English Language— Knowledge of structure and content of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Strong analytical and quantitative competencies
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems
- Possess intellectual agility; readily accepts challenges of unfamiliar task
- Speaks and writes clearly and effectively even when relating complex information. Expresses ideas in a concise and organized manner
- Strong organizational, planning and documentation skills
- Dependable and trustworthy
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to use technology to increase efficiency
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
- 3-4 years experience in a corporate tax department (non-public accounting)
- Experience with Longview Tax Provision Software a plus
- Experience in preparing corporate income tax returns and/or provision work
- Experience in filing sales tax returns
- Experience with SAP a plus
- CPA not required
