Will be operating a cnc and/or manual saw (vertical & horizontal style).

Contractor would be loading the saw by crane or by hand with different types of material such as tubing, bar stock hot rolled and cold drawn material, round stock.

Will cut the material to the proper length as per the print or cut sheets.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate saw equipment to cut materials such as metal, wood, or plastic
- Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine cutting specifications
- Measure and mark materials for cutting
- Adjust saw blades, speed, and feed rates for optimal cutting performance
- Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy and quality of cuts
- Inspect finished pieces for defects or imperfections
- Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Saw Operator or similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to assemble and disassemble machinery as needed
- Familiarity with operating cranes for material handling (preferred)
- Knowledge of plasma cutting techniques (preferred)
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations
- Understanding of tooling concepts and ability to select appropriate tools for the job
- Experience with programming saw equipment is a plus
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues
