Job SummaryFishbeck is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join our growing Architectural Department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading the technical development of medium to large scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of project types, with a focus on the higher education, R&D, workplace and civic/municipal.
Primary Functions
- Assist the Project Manager in developing project work plans and schedules.
- Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases.
- Lead the technical team in preparing design development and construction documents.
- Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.
- Develop architectural technical specifications.
- Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review.
- Serve as project manager on small to medium projects if required.
- Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of junior architectural staff.
Desired EducationMaster of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university.
Desired Skills/ Experience
- 10 years of experience, preferred.
- Licensure preferred.
- Experienced in developing projects using Revit.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
- Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
