Basic Qualifications:
High School Education or GED equivalency.
Ability and willingness to pass visual acuity exam upon offer.
Ability and willingness to obtain Braze, Weld and Solder inspection certification as required.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Experience Requirements:
Level 2 Inspector
Requires demonstrated 1 year inspection experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (dremel/cut off tooling) and measuring devices (i.e. - dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.
Ability and willingness to perform electrical test methods (ohm meter, gauss meter, surge test, hi pot, etc)
Level 3 Inspector
Requires demonstrated 3 years’ inspection experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Ability and willingness to use hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. – optical comparators, ohm meters, leak check, CMM’s, dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.
Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, etc.), may have to perform metric conversions, conversions to decimals, and use geometry.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure quality of products.
Identify and document non-conforming parts, while using Oracle to maintain inspection records.
Inspect all raw materials and purchased parts to determine conformance to design requirement.
Use statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required.
Proficient understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation, including functional knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
Assist support functions in root cause analysis.
Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of product deficiencies, new processes, or issues.
Must be able to multi-task and work within deadlines.
Participate in Careful Selection process.
Develop understanding of GD&T and advanced measurement principles.
Have basic Blueprint interpretation, electrical inspection, mechanical inspection, and procedural knowledge assessment completed.
Basic understanding of special processes such as brazing, soldering, welding, coating, etc. as required within the department.
Provide feedback to appropriate support functions.
Assist leading and support team initiatives.
Exemplifies and coaches’ others on the GE Leadership behaviors.
Participate in and support team initiatives.
Understand and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.

Desired Qualifications
Basic Knowledge of Quality System requirements (AS9100)
Basic Knowledge of electrical components and test methods to include ohm meter, gauss meter, surge test, hi-pot, etc.
Basic Knowledge of inspection in multiple areas of the site.
Preferred assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing experience.
Experience in a self-directed team environment.

Ability to continuously sit and use hands and fingers in repetition.
Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
Ability to occasionally lift to 20-55lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.
Ability to push/pull stock using a specialized cart and /or other material handling equipment.
The pay for Inspector Level 2 position is $19/hour. The pay for Inspector Level 3 is $21/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 6/28/2024.
