Financial Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining all agency financial systems and accounts (A/P and A/R)
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, as well as other financial reports as requested by funding sources, Board and CEO
- Assists CEO in developing the annual budget.
- Provides information for the annual audit.
- Responsible for all financial compliance, including e.g. annual review of state required Cost Allocation Plan.
- Maintains supporting schedules for financial compliance.
- Assists auditors in preparation of State and Federal tax returns (including 1099 forms)
- Oversees all payroll and personnel functions including employee benefits.
- Responsible for bi-weekly payroll
- Responsible for coordination of donor database and accounting program, including maintenance of database tables required for interface between database and accounting software.
- Responsible for all financial support for government contracts.
- Serves as liaison to insurance carriers, benefit providers, etc.
- Develops necessary budgets for grant application.
- Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Serve on agency committees as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the CEO
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting or related field
- Demonstrated experience in administration and supervision.
- Demonstrated experience in nonprofit fund accounting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing computerized systems.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse individuals and organizations.
- Ability to be flexible and to juggle multiple demands.
- Reporting to: CEO
