Duration: 3 Months from projected start date

Required: Doctoral Degree, CPR certification & Ohio State License

· Job Description:

· Conducts routine, periodic and emergency examinations using specialized diagnostic equipment (e.g., refractometer, indirect and direct ophthalmoscope) to Client defects that can be corrected by prisms, lenses or other optical accessory, determines by examination and evaluation of medical history whether corrective treatment of physician referral is indicated and prescribes, fits, adjusts and repairs glasses for patients.

· Acts as consultant to other professional & paraprofessional staff regarding forms of eye pathology; evaluates medical records to determine corrective optometric treatment.

· Plans, schedules and directs comprehensive eye screening programs, prescribes, fits, adjusts and repairs glasses; instructs patients in proper eye care and care of eyeglasses; writes medical and technical reports.

Work hours:

· Duration: At least 3 Months from projected start date

· Hours/Week 8

· Start Time 8:00 AM

· End Time 5:00 AM

· 1st Shift, can be between Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible scheduling) but is simply 1-2 times per month for approximately 8 hours each day.

Education required:

· Minimum Education Level Doctoral Degree
