Founded in 1977, All Flex Solutions is a leading provider of specialty flex and rigid flex printed circuits, flexible heaters, and value-added assemblies for mission- and life-critical applications. All Flex products can be found in many applications and markets, including medical, defense, aerospace, semiconductor, industrial and telecommunications.

Basic Function

The Manufacturing Technician will promote continuous improvement of company processes to meet customer requirements. Review and recommend engineering standards in relationship to the development, documentation and production of all products at All Flex. The Manufacturing Technician will report to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Learn manufacturing processes, visions, ideas and implementation.
• Research and design new and more efficient ways of manufacturing flex circuits in house.
• • Conduct tests for problem solving as needed.
  • Resolve problems, processes, drawings, design specifications, materials, quality etc, using personal knowledge and internal resources available.
• Make appropriate contact with customers on issues of workability, quality or design in coordination with set-up engineering. Respect the confidentiality of company and customer information.
• Resolve issues as presented whether process or design using tact and good judgment and coordinates between other areas of the company to facilitate resolution.
• Responsible for becoming familiar with all automated pieces of equipment. May include programming, setting up machine for use, troubleshooting issues, etc.
• Prepare for, attend and participate in meetings as requested relative to process applications.
• Participation in IPC standards development as requested by Process Engineering

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and production company’s concepts and applications
• Good mechanical aptitude, electronics knowledge and a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail; analytical, problem solving, project management and critical thinking skills; good technical and communication skills; the ability to multitask and set priorities, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Working Conditions

• Work is done indoors in a climatically controlled facility.
• Work on the plant floor may present an exposure to possibly hazardous conditions. Proper safety equipment is provided by the company for employees, its use is mandatory.
• Sit frequently.
• Stand frequently.
• Lift/Carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 10-100 lbs occasionally
• Walk frequently.
• Reach above, bend/stoop, push/pull, fine manipulation occasionally.
• Stress level moderate.

Company Expectations

• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Is in attendance at work for the hours scheduled, gives advance notice of days away from work, and keeps unscheduled absences to a minimum.
• Willing to travel between both facilities as needed.
• Complete work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other co-workers and management.
• Understand All Flex’s Quality Policy and implements that across processes.
