Job Overview:

As a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) at Glenkirk, you will assume a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized service plans, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life and promoting independence. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in program coordination, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Individualized Service Planning:
   • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized service plans (ISP) in collaboration with clients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
   • Ensure that ISP goals align with clients' preferences, needs, and overall well-being.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Stay informed about and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
   • Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
3. Client Advocacy:
   • Advocate for the rights and preferences of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
   • Collaborate with clients and their families to address concerns and facilitate communication with the interdisciplinary team.
4. Program Coordination:
   • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of services, ensuring that they are consistent with individualized service plans and regulatory requirements.
   • Monitor program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Staff Supervision:
   • Supervise and provide guidance to direct support professionals and other relevant staff.
   • Facilitate training sessions to ensure staff competency and adherence to established standards.
6. Quality Assurance:
   • Implement quality assurance measures, including regular assessments, audits, and outcome evaluations.
   • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, etc.) required; Master's degree preferred.
• Certification as a QIDP or eligibility for QIDP certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
