As the Manager, Technology (Pricing Systems) you will be accountable for team deliverables and successful completion of team initiatives including the design, development, and implementation of dynamic pricing engine as well as Agreement & Tariff Management systems for XPO’s Less-than-Truckload systems; ensuring applications are delivered timely, cost effectively, and with a high degree of quality. You’ll work closely with peer managers, customers, vendors, senior management, related development teams, and other stakeholders.

What you’ll do on a typical day: Lead a technology team responsible for delivering high quality solutions to internal business problems quickly and creativelyBuild and maintain dynamic pricing and agreement management systems in a fast paced environmentOperational ownership of projects and systems which includes leading initiatives of various size in capacity and resource planning, project plans, project tracking, status reporting and actively influencing work effortsDrives continuous improvement efforts and fosters innovation throughout all team activitiesActively partners with stakeholders to determine customer requirements, develop solutions, assess project viability, and providing estimates for deliverablesEffective management of geographically dispersed staff, including hiring and conducting performance reviews, focusing on career development for team members and responsible for course correction when neededTeam development and coaching to increase bench strength and flexibility of teamsKnowledge and accountability for compliance to XPO Project Development and SOX controlsVendor management to include: relationship management, product roadmap, support issue resolution and support contract negotiation What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience5 years of proven expertise working on teams building high quality software engineering solutions to applied business problemsExperience leading software engineering teams’ roadmaps and deliverables on high visibility projectsExperience presenting to Senior LeadershipKnowledge of software development methodologies and processes in an Agile environment It’d be great if you also have: Transportation/logistics industry experienceDeep understanding of economics, mathematics, and Machine Learning/AISubject matter expertise in Revenue Management, Pricing, and/or Sales related technology and platformsExperience working as a project manager, product owner/manager, data scientist, and/or technical lead Be part of something big.
