Inland Truck Parts & Service is currently looking to hire a Truck Technician / Diesel Mechanic in North Platte, Nebraska. ITP has been in business for almost 80 years and has expanded to 38 stores in 12 states.

Job Responsibilities for a Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic

Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00, no weekends

The position will involve, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on class 6 to class 8 heavy-duty trucks
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities within all heavy-duty truck and trailer systems componentry For example: hydraulics, engines, electrical, drive train, suspension, HVAC, braking systems, etc.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working on trucks
  • Candidates must have mechanical ability/ skills/ knowledge
  • Driver’s license
  • Own tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic math skills,
  • Ability to read & understand manuals/ diagrams

Preference given to candidates who are self-motivated, detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly, and a desire for career advancement.
