NEL Frequency Controls, Inc, is a leading manufacturer of crystal oscillators and other electronic frequency control products, shipping to customers all over the world. We are a light manufacturing plant with a very clean , quiet working environment and friendly people. NEL is b ased in Burlington and has been for over 60 years.
We are looking for an RF Electronic Technician with experience in printed circuit board assembly. Position will be on-site at our North Miami , FL lab . This position reports to the Senior Design Engineer .
Summary : The RF Electronics Technician will support the Engineering department in all aspects of printed circuit board assembly from concept through production including component testing, prototype building, safety testing and system integration.
Job Responsibilities

• Work on state-of-the-art oven-controlled crystal oscillators and RF components.
• Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electronic circuits according to engineering instructions and customer specifications.
• Keep documentation of all the above
• Work with little required supervision.
• Keep Lab organized.
• Tasks may include soldering, repairing, and testing electronic components and circuit board products.
• Maintain high standards in quality to meet ISO requirements.
• Maintain technical competency and remain current on new technology and trends in the industry.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Formal electronics training from technical school or university, Associate degree preferred in Electronics .

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Aptitude for working with hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Ability to use mechanical and electronic CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
• Organizational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven experience as an electronics t echnician or similar role (1 Years preferred) .
