Description

Sierra Ready Mix is looking to fill a Shop Manager position at our maintenance shop in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for the operation and management of multi-shift crews to ensure fleet maintenance operations are performing at optimal levels and quality standards are being met. This position will oversee our mechanics who perform the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of heavy/dirt equipment and trucks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage shop maintenance operations to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure completion and accuracy of work performed
• Develop, train, and mentor shop employees
• Communicate performance expectations and company initiatives to employees on a regular basis
• Assist in development and delivery of performance reviews
• Provide ongoing feedback to improve employee performance and morale
• Provide oversight and direction of inventory management and vendor relations
• Ensure all safety policies and programs are being followed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of supervisor/management experience
• Fleet maintenance and mechanical knowledge.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools is a plus (Davie, TEXA)
• Must be able to trouble shoot and repair engine, transmission, and electrical issues
• Must be able to work flexible hours/some weekends
• Obtain a valid driver’s license
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screen
