Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, properly tracking them in the system to maintain accurate financial records, and ensuring all receipts are accurately posted. In addition, the clerk will manage account reconciliation and follow up on overdue accounts.
Essential Functions:

• Generates and sends out invoices to customers promptly.
• Verifies discrepancies and resolves billing issues with customers.
• Records payments by entering them into the accounting system.
• Ensures payments are applied accurately to the appropriate accounts and invoices.
• Performs regular reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Investigates and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding their accounts and invoices.
• Follows up on overdue accounts, sending reminders and communicating with customers to secure payment.
• Prepares and presents regular reports on account status, aging, and collection activities.
• Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
