Role Specifics

Shift: AM, PM

Hours: 22.5 total hours:

(6 IHS hours, 7.5 PCA hours, 9 Homemaker hours)

• Monday 1:30pm- 7:30pm IHS (4:30p-7:30p homemaking/light cleaning)
• Wednesday 1pm- 8pm PCA (5p-8p light cleaning)
• Thursday 1:30pm- 7:30pm IHS (4:30p-7:30p homemaking/light cleaning)
• Friday 9am-12:30pm PCA

Location: North St. Paul, MN

Rate of Pay $17/hour

*This role would be working with one female individual with 3 services from Dependable. Services include In-Home Supports (DSP) Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and Homemaking (light cleaning).

This individual needs assistance with maintaining a stable balance, light cleaning, grooming (brushing hair, teeth, shaving, and trimming nails, and bathing). This individual needs help learning how to use a cell phone and tracking when bills are due.

Direct Support professionals (DSP's) work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain skills and more independence in areas such as communication, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, personal safety, health, and recreation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of relevant work experience
• Driver's License, car insurance, reliable vehicle for work purposes
• Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by the company
• Ability to meet licensing requirements of the state and county
• Lifting/transferring requirements vary based on assigned caseload. Ability to lift 75 pounds and transfer individuals as needed
• May be exposed to animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, pet rodents, birds or pet reptiles
